We take a holistic, evidence-driven approach to planning, researching and designing sustainable, resilient landscapes that benefit both people and nature.

By bridging the gap between disciplines, we integrate insights from the social, physical and biological sciences. Our collaborative work connects research with practical solutions, using a systems-based approach, informed by our global networks. Operating across Australia and the Asia-Pacific, we focus on urban and regional planning, nature-based solutions, social recovery, resilience, strategy, policy and analytics. Our expertise spans social science, geography, landscape design, governance and data science, all aimed at helping clients achieve informed decision-making and effective management outcomes.

Where we work

Australia

Across the Alluvium Group, our Australian business employs more than 150 staff, including engineers, scientists and economists. Our work focuses on: sharing water resources efficiently, sustainably and equitably; shaping cities and communities; addressing climate change through enhanced adaption and resilience; and addressing the decline in our natural resources. We support our clients through offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra, Townsville and Byron Bay.

Our work in South Asia focuses on India, where we combine bold thinking, robust science and unique insight to deliver smart, practical and cost-effective development solutions. We work collaboratively with funders, governments, non-governmental organisations, civil society organisations and private businesses to develop inclusive, ecosystem-based approaches that tackle the growing threats of climate change and rapid urbanisation. Our team works from offices in Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore and Chennai. We also work across the region, including in Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
