Toyon Road Pedestrian Bridge

Mosaic Insights led the end-to-end delivery of the Toyon Road Pedestrian Bridge, providing strategic project management, hydraulic analysis, and detailed design to deliver a safe, accessible, and environmentally sensitive active transport link for the growing Cloverton community.

As the Cloverton community in Melbourne’s north continues to grow, providing safe and efficient active transport connections has become increasingly important. One such key connection is the Toyon Road Pedestrian Bridge over Merri Creek, offering direct access between residential areas and Donnybrook Railway Station. Previously, pedestrians and cyclists faced a 1 km detour and multiple road crossings, highlighting the need for improved connectivity. Jointly funded by Stockland and Hume City Council, the project was delivered through a Design & Construct model to streamline delivery and cost-effectiveness.

Mosaic Insights led the project from concept to completion, overseeing project management, hydraulic analysis, and detailed design. Our team ensured the design met rigorous regulatory and environmental requirements, including maintaining habitat connectivity for the Growling Grass Frog. We coordinated stakeholder engagement, funding processes, and procurement of a bridge supplier from Stockland’s panel.

The result is a well-integrated, accessible, and sustainable transport solution that enhances mobility, safety, and ecological outcomes for the community, while aligning with future infrastructure planning.
