Spatial data science
We offer advanced capabilities in data and spatial analytics, enabling our clients to understand complex patterns across landscapes, cities, and regions. Our spatial data science specialists integrate and analyse large, diverse datasets, develop custom algorithms, and apply advanced GIS and remote sensing techniques to uncover relationships that are often hidden in conventional analysis.
Advanced Data Engineering and Automation
We provide specialist expertise in coding, automation, and data engineering to support a wide range of programs and services. Our spatial data science specialists work across platforms including Python, R, MATLAB, ESRI, and QGIS, enabling us to design and implement efficient workflows that handle and manipulate complex datasets with precision and reliability.
Beyond technical execution, we focus on building scalable processes that reduce manual effort, improve data quality, and accelerate analysis. This includes automating data pipelines, developing bespoke scripts and algorithms, and optimising database management to ensure seamless integration across systems. By combining deep coding capability with applied spatial and statistical knowledge, we help clients unlock the full value of their data.
Domain Expertise and Applied Insights
We bring together deep domain knowledge and the soft technical skills required to translate complex analysis into practical, solutions focused outcomes. Our team works across strategy, facilitation, and communication, ensuring that the insights drawn from data and modelling are accessible, relevant, and aligned with our client priorities. This capability goes beyond technical delivery where it is about bridging the gap between evidence and decision-making. Our spatial data science specialists collaborate closely with stakeholders, fostering shared understanding of complex issues and building consensus around pathways forward. We combine subject matter expertise with strong communication and engagement skills to support informed decisions.
Communication and Data Visualisation
We specialise in transforming complex information into compelling stories that inform and inspire. Our expertise lies in making both qualitative and quantitative data accessible to diverse audiences, from policymakers and practitioners to communities and the general public.
By combining strong analytical skills with design thinking, we ensure insights are not only accurate but also engaging, relevant, and easy to act upon. Our data visualisation consultants design and deliver a wide range of decision-support tools, from spatial mapping and 3D visualisation to interactive dashboards, reports, and web interfaces. Our team works fluently across platforms including Tableau, Power BI, ESRI/QGIS, Python, and R, enabling us to tailor outputs to client needs and audiences.
Modelling and Simulation
We use modelling and simulation to explore future scenarios, test interventions, and understand the dynamics of complex systems. By applying advanced spatial and statistical approaches, we build models that can predict outcomes across a range of domains including climate risk, land-use change, hydrology, biodiversity, and urban growth. These models help reveal how social, environmental, and economic factors interact, and where strategic interventions can make the greatest difference. Our modelling and simulation consultants work with stakeholders to co-design models to ensure they reflect local knowledge, lived experience, and practical constraints. This collaborative approach makes outputs more relevant and trusted, while also building capacity among decision-makers to use models as ongoing learning tools.
Industry leadership
Our spatial data consultants are industry leaders who are known for their deep expertise and knowledge in their field. They bring a thorough understanding of industry trends, technologies and best practices.

Dr Jabbar Khaledi
Jabbar Khaledi is an expert in hydro-climatology, earth observation, and environmental data analysis, with deep experience in analysing spatio-temporal data across climate, water, terrain, vegetation, and extreme events such as floods, bushfires, and droughts. He completed a PhD at the University of Melbourne (2018–2022) in hydro-climatology and water resources management, publishing peer-reviewed research on how catchment- and regional-scale water availability is influenced by climate change and variability modes (e.g., ENSO, IOD, SAM, IPO), droughts, and bushfires. Jabbar’s expertise lies in interpreting time series, remote sensing, and spatial datasets to understand complex climate–land–water interactions, and in developing environmental metrics, indices, and predictive models using machine learning and statistical techniques to monitor conditions and track changes over time.<br><br>Jabbar creates advanced models, tools, python packages, and automated workflows that support decision-making and provide practical solutions to environmental challenges across both catchments and urban areas. His technical skillset includes Python and its scientific libraries, ESRI GIS tools, REST API services, WCS clients, and cloud-based platforms such as Google Earth Engine (GEE), ESA, NASA MAAP, and ODC-DEA.<br><br>With a strong background in collaborative consulting, stakeholder engagement, and clear communication, Jabbar consistently delivers valuable insights and actionable outcomes tailored to client needs.
